PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Automotive Service Technician Program prepares students for further education at the college level while preparing them for entry-level employment in the automotive service industry. Practical skills are developed through the operation of a full-time service and repair shop, supplemented by troubleshooting laboratory generated scenarios. Students learn all aspects of vehicle repair, diagnosis, and maintenance. A fully equipped shop serves as a training ground for preparation to work in an industry that is presently searching desperately for technicians! Students' ability levels are charted throughout the AST program and are given to all the program graduates in the form of an employability profile.
