The Employee Relations office is able to assist with various Student and Employee Disciplinary matters.
Student Discipline
The Employee Relations Service:
- Provides skilled and experienced Hearing Officers for Superintendent’s Hearings.
- Answers questions regarding Student Discipline.
- Reviews and edits letters regarding Student Discipline.
- Offers various helpful templates including Notice of Superintendent’s Hearing, Disciplinary Decision Letter, and Behavioral Contract.
Employee Discipline
The Employee Relations Service:
- Conducts employee misconduct investigations on behalf of the District.
- Answers discipline related questions regarding Unclassified and Classified Civil Service Personnel.
- Reviews and edits memos, letters, and disciplinary documents to employees.
- Recommends disciplinary action(s).
- Offers various helpful templates including Counseling Memo/Holt Letter, Letter of Reprimand, and Last Chance and Termination Agreements.
- Negotiates termination agreements (please note that Section 75 hearings or 3020-a proceedings are handled by the District’s legal counsel).
