Course Description
Health Occupations is an excellent program for students who wish to explore exciting careers in the ever demanding health care field. A strong knowledge base on how humans grow, learn and develop, beginning with conception and progressing through the development life cycle. Classroom theory receives strong support by application of knowledge learned in the nursing lab and in clinical settings. FOCUS Rehabilitation, Woodside Hall and Bassett Medical Center are program partners that provide professional clinical experiences for our students.

HOSA Membership
Students in the Health Occupations program are eligible for membership in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) organization. HOSA is a student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in health care and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s mission is especially critical when considering the acute shortage of qualified workers for the health care industry
